Give a timed cue sheet, the exact line before and after each pause, each pause's purpose, and a subtle nonverbal cue or room tone so listeners know playback continues. Do not trim a critical warning to make room. Check total duration using a stated speaking-rate assumption and ensure the pauses are distinguishable from an accidental dropout.
