Prompt
Design a metric contract for a dashboard about [BUSINESS PROCESS] used by [AUDIENCE]. The systems are [DATA SOURCES], and the decisions are [DECISIONS].
For each proposed KPI provide: plain-language definition, numerator, denominator, exclusions, timezone, attribution window, source table or event, refresh schedule, owner, example calculation, acceptable data delay and known ways it can be gamed or misread. Show the user journey or event sequence behind each metric. Distinguish leading indicators, outcomes and vanity numbers. Include a reconciliation check against the source system and a visible “data is stale” condition.
Return a compact metrics dictionary, a suggested dashboard hierarchy and a test case with synthetic numbers. Do not invent tables or claim a metric is already available without evidence.
