Start a lesson with retrieval before review
Builds a low-pressure recall sequence with feedback.

Prompt
For [TOPIC], [PRIOR LESSON], and [LEARNER LEVEL], create a five-minute retrieval starter with three prompts: recall, application, and explanation. Put the answer key, partial-credit guidance, and a two-minute correction activity in a separately labelled teacher section. In interactive use, withhold that section until learners have attempted the three prompts. Do not present memory failure as a character flaw or grade the starter summatively. Check that the questions can be answered from the prior lesson, not new material, and that feedback explains rather than merely marks wrong.
