Prompt

Explore this alternate-history change: [POINT OF DIVERGENCE]. First state what really happened and cite reliable sources if available; otherwise clearly label the real-world baseline as unverified. Then create a fictional ordinary day for [PERSONA] in [PLACE] [YEARS LATER].

Show the divergence through a shopping receipt, commute, school notice, conversation and minor inconvenience. For each invented difference, trace a plausible causal chain from the divergence and flag weak links. Include at least one thing that stayed the same and one unintended downside. Write a 500-word scene plus a table separating real history, reasoned inference and fiction.

Do not portray speculation as historical fact or use the scenario to make unsupported claims about living groups.
